Kamloops Minor Baseball Association

KMBA's Fall baseball season is fast approaching. This year we will be adding a PeeWee segment available for those who were 2nd yr Mosquito or 1st yr PeeWee players this Spring. As well there will be a Bantam program for 2nd yr PeeWee and 1st yr Bantam players. 2nd yr Bantam players are welcome to participate in practices with the Bantam group but will not be invited to exhibition games. Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting Aug. 31 with the season expected to conclude by the end of September. There will also be a few clinics during the month with Ray Chadwick and his TRU group with dates yet to be finalized. Jeff Coulter will be coaching the PeeWee segment with additional assistants yet to be finalized. Brandon Sherwood, last year's assistant coach with the Bantam AAA Jr Riverdogs will be coaching the Bantam program. Sean Wandler, coach of the Kamloops Riverdogs will also work with the Bantam program when his schedule permits. Cost for Fall ball will be $50.00 per player although the Bantam team may have additional expenses should the team travel for overnight events. Depending upon numbers a selection process may be done to determine team rosters for exhibition games. Practices will start at 5:30 pm although that may change as the season continues due to daylight needs. See you at the park.

   Just a quick note to remind everyone that our annual general meeting will be held near the end of September. The actual date, time and location will be posted soon as well as emailed to the current membership. The election of next year's executive as well as a discussion of upcoming plans for the year will be discussed and finalized. I hope to see you there.
